Individual therapy helps you bloom

I believe in the power of choice, acceptance, and our innate ability to exercise choice and to make change. I believe we are organic, sentient beings and accessing the connection between our breath, body, and mind grows a more authentic self rooted in the present.

Life transitions and the shifting of roles prescribed or adopted are a key piece of my work with adults. I help clients find meaning and identify their strengths and healthy strivings, and help them develop positive, respectful, and effective skills of communication. Inviting clients to grow comfortable being uncomfortable helps them have the tough conversations with themselves, their partner(s), children, friends, or coworkers.

Recognizing we are all different and that people are not defined by their diagnoses, I meet clients where they are and taking their lead collaborate to create and move towards short- and long-term goals with a therapy style that best fits their needs. From a trauma informed care approach and client-centered base, I draw from my experiences with Positive Psychology, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Existential Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Eco-Systemic Structural Therapy.

I am driven by a strong desire to help people find peace in the shelter of belonging. My approach is supported by

core-based empathy,

genuine curiosity,

kindness,

a sense of humor,

and lastly, a life full of experience.

~ Couples Therapy

If I you and your partner(s) are considering couples therapy, you are already saying your union matters. Couples therapy may help whether you want to process a life event or explore ways to (re)connect. It is all too easy to fall out of sync with your partner(s). And when we try to connect, we find ourselves stuck in patterns that no longer serve ourselves or our relationship. The goal is to safely run towards conflict, to clarify intention, and to be heard. Together we will untangle unproductive patterns and develop new ways for you to communicate your

wants and needs to each other in a manner that is

positive,

respectful and

ultimately effective.

I work with adult siblings with or without their parent(s) and adults with their in-law(s). The goal is to collectively explore and process individual experiences in a judgement free safe space where every voice will be heard.  Exploring the family’s eco system can help uncover, understand, and loosen the tangled roots of resentment, judgement, and hurt that may have grown through time.

Whether a family has a short term need to sort through current life changes or collectively process challenges in their relationships I will help create space for new seeds to be planted.

I offer both in person and virtual sessions.
